YOU HAVE ARRIVED!

I am a seasoned photographer and author with over 35 years of experience behind the lens.

My diverse career spans travel, documentary, corporate, stock, and event photography.

I have authored several books, including “Babyboomers’ Guide to Digital Photography,” “9 Steps to Stock Photography Success,” “The 10 Most Important Things To Know About Event Photography,” and “Photography for Travel Writers.”

As a business entrepreneur, I leverage my extensive experience in various industries to teach aspiring photographers and business owners the essentials for success.

I help fellow baby boomers navigate the world of photography one frame at a time.

As a journalist who loves to travel, I create memorable experiences with travel itineraries and freelance articles.

My approach to both photography and life is refreshingly straightforward:

  • focus on what matters
  • learn by doing

What People Are Saying

Photography

Not only did Julie take publicity photos of me for my cookbook, but she also taught me how to take photos so that I could photograph my culinary creations. I’ll be taking her photography classes soon because I’m hooked and want to hone my skills. I am a person that hates having my photo taken but Julie was able to make me feel comfortable, and give me photos that I feel good about. She is a perfectionist about every angle and the photos always look natural. She also was able to show me the photos immediately afterward so I could select the best ones quickly and easily. If you’re lucky enough to find a good photographer, stay with them! Julie will be my go-to photographer for all future photoshoots.

Teaching

Within the short amount of time that I have been with Julie, I have learned more than I could studying using YouTube.

She takes her time to make sure you understand the concept of not just photography but the art behind it as well. She’s very informational and is always willing to help you achieve whatever your goal with photography may be. She goes above and beyond when it comes to teaching she may pack a lot on at once but if you can take notes and study them in your downtime you can truly learn a lot in a short amount of time.

Hi Julie. This article is amazing! What a beautiful job sharing Westward Look’s story. Thank you! You are a true gem to work with and the resort team appreciates this editorial so much.

Thank you! I hope we can work together at other client resort locations in the future.
